This compensating coupling is a mechanical connecting element used in the assembly of pneumatic cylinders, for example. They efficiently compensate operational radial misalignment and angular misalignment caused by insufficient alignment of the components between the cylinder and the connected attachment, such as a guide, a gripper, or a workpiece carrier. This reduces friction, wear, and transverse forces on the piston rod, which increases the service life of cylinders and guide elements. Depending on the size, the couplings can compensate radial misalignment of up to 1 mm between the axes to be connected. The maximum angular misalignment in one direction is 4 degrees.
Note: These couplings do NOT transmit torque!
